It's been quite a journey for Wildwood High alum Wes Hills.

Hills has traveled all over the football landscape since leaving the Doo-Wop town in 2013, but has found himself at the top of the new UFL rushing list.

Now playing for the Michigan Panthers, Hills played his college football at Delaware before landing at Slippery Rock, where he holds the schools single-season rushing record.

He has played in the NFL, Canadian Football League, the USFL and now the new United Football League.

After leading the USFL in rushing last year, Hills opened the 2024 campaign running for 85 yards on 11 carries, most of any player in the new league that combined the USFL and the XFL.

At Wildwood, Hills left as the school’s all-time rushing leader and tied the south Jersey touchdown record. He ran for 2,107 yards and 35 touchdowns as a senior and for 1,294 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior for the Warriors.

He was a three-sport athlete at Wildwood, competing in football, track & field and basketball.
