It appears the stare down between James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers might be done, at least for now.

While Harden skipped Media Day on Monday, he did make his way out to Colorado State, where the team is holding their training camp this season and is expected to arrive as soon as today, and join the team, potentially practicing on Wednesday.

Sixers Training Camp Coverage: “As long as it takes”: No resolution in sight for Sixers-Harden situation

However, he could should up and not practice at all, we shall see how he intends to play this. It has been reported by ESPN's Tim Bontemps that Harden “insisted” with league officials that he would “fulfill his contractual obligations” with the Sixers if the team was unable to find a trade partner, which so far they have not been able.

According to ESPN Sources: Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden didn’t practice at Colorado State University on Tuesday but he’s expected to arrive in Colorado as soon as today to join training camp.

Now just because Harden reports to camp, doesn't mean he will participate.  We all saw Ben Simmons, go half-hearted in practice before the 2021-2022 season, which led to him eventually being traded.

Will Harden practice with a cell phone in his sweatpants?  We shall see.

This drama could certainly play out for awhile, and like the Simmons situation, could lead to a deal sometime during the season.

The Sixers are holding training camp at Colorado State through Friday, and open the preseason against the Boston Celtics next Wednesday.
