Here are this week’s candidates for CAL athlete of the week.

Here are this week’s candidates:

Casey Hanna, Ocean City lacrosse- The junior scored eight goals and dished out three assists in Ocean City’s 16-13 victory over Absegami on Monday.

Zack Novick, Middle Township tennis- Novick, the fourth-seeded competitor in the CAL boys tennis individual tournament, defeated his twin brother Jeremy, 8-3, on Thursday in a pro set to advance to the final match. He prevailed in the sibling rivalry and now faces Hammonton’s Pete Lancetta for the title.

Ismael Tejada, Pleasantville baseball- Rallied the Greyhounds from an 8-1 deficit at Bridgeton on Monday. Tejada slammed home runs on three consecutive at-bats. He also pitched in relief and picked up the victory.

Kelly Lupton, Absegami softball- The senior pitcher tossed a no-hitter on Thursday, leading Absegami to a 7-0 victory over Oakcrest. Lupton compiled 17 strikeouts in the CAL American Conference victory to earn her sixth win of the season.
