For decades, part of the classic "American Dream" was for a family to buy a home in the Suburbs and escape City Life. For many Middle-Class Families, living in the Suburbs is a representation of their social status.

But today, the Middle Class accounts for only 50 percent of United States citizens. In New Jersey, residents need an average Household Income of $152,186 to buy a house in The Garden State.  So only people who fit in a higher income bracket can now achieve "The American Dream".

According to the research team at Go Banking Rates, there is now a high percentage of wealthy people living in the Suburbs. 23 of the Wealthiest Suburban Communities in the United States are located on the East Coast.
