ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Albert Breer both report the Falcons are closing in on a trade for CB Asante Samuel.

CSNPhilly Eagles reporter Ruben Frank suggests that "barring any last-minute complications," the Falcons will acquire Samuel from the Eagles for a late-round pick on Wednesday.

With this deal, the Eagles will now have close to $20 million in cap space to work with.

It's believed that compensation has already been finalized, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Falcons have agreed to terms with CB Asante Samuel on a three-year, $18.5 million contract.
