The South Jersey Sports Report welcomed Tim Salmon to the program on Thursday night to talk all things Mike Trout.

Salmon, an Angels legend, currently serves as a Fox Sports West analyst and like Trout won the Rookie of the Year award in his first season in the majors.

Trout made history (again) this week by becoming the youngest American League player to hit for the cycle.

Trout went 4-5 adding 5 RBI's in the Angels 12-0 victory against the Mariners that night, all this comes after finishing second in the MVP last season.

"He's handled it like a seasoned pro, he could have taken it to the bank and really marketed himself after last season," Salmon said.

When asked if Trout has anything to improve on, Salmon couldn't answer the question honestly.

"I don't want to get struck by lightning criticizing Zeus here," said Salmon.

Salmon did mention Trout could improve on his throwing among minor things, citing his lack of minor league experience because most players learn from their mistakes in the minors.

Trout has increased his batting average to .297with 9 home runs and 34 RBI's.
