
Another High School Boys Basketball Team Shuts Down For The Season
On the same day that it became official that Atlantic City High School decided shut down the Boys and Girls Basketball teams over COVID-19 Concerns, another local High School has decided to also end their season too.
Middle Township Boys Basketball team is ending their season; They were the last team that Atlantic City High School Boys played back on February 10th, a 56-44 loss to the Vikings
The Panthers' Boys team ends their season with a 2-4 record, their two victories over Lower Cape May Regional and Mainland Regional. Their losses in this COVID-19 shortened season came against Ocean City High School, Wildwood Catholic, Cape May County Tech, and AC Vikings.

The abrupt end of the Middle Township Panthers' season means the end of the High School Basketball careers for Senior such as Jeremiah Camacho, John Leahy, DaShaw Hawkins, and Dom Caraballo. Camacho led the team this season in scoring with 14.2 Points Per Game.
Middle Township Superintendent Dave Salvo confirmed on Wednesday afternoon to The Press Of Atlantic City that the Middle boys would not return.
"Due to the most recent student positive COVID cases and the quarantining of student athletes and coaches," Salvo said in a text, "it was necessary to shut down the Boys Basketball team for the week or so remaining in the season."
A major contrast to the end of the Middle Township Boys Basketball season is the announcement that the Wildwood High School Boys Basketball team are the number two seed in the Tri-County Tournament while the Wildwood High School.
