Atlantic Shore Falls in Final Pool Play Game
In the top of the first inning, Atlantic Shore Colin Thompson singled and scored on a wild pitch giving them a 1-0 lead.
In the bottom of the first, Tallahassee, FL Nate Dietz hit an RBI double and later scored on a dropped third strike to give the Southeast a 2-1 lead.
The Southeast champion was able to extend their lead on a base hit by Colby Tadder and then a throwing error allowed two more runs to score making the score
In the bottom of the 3rd Nate Dietz walked with the bases loaded to give the Southeast a 6-1 lead and in the bottom of the 5th, Tallahassee’s Cole Lawson ripped an RBI single and a run came home on an error by Atlantic Shore making it 8-1.
Tallahassee would win the game 8-1 to finish 4-0 in pool play and dropping Atlantic Shore to
2-2.
Atlantic Shore has advanced to tomorrow's knockout round and will face either Jamestown, NY or Kai, Hawaii.
