The Atlantic Shore team knocked off a team from Kai, HI, 4-2 to advance to the semifinals of the Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown, NY.

In the top of the first inning the scoring got started for Atlantic Shore early as both Matt Wagner and Damon Herzchel grounded into fielder’s choice’s to bring in two runs to make the score 2-0.

In the top of the 2nd, the Mid-Atlantic champions added to their lead on an RBI single by Collin Thompson to give them a 3-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Kai, Hawaii rallied to with two outs and JJ Shinigawa scored on a pass ball to make the score 3-1.

In the top of the fifth, Atlantic Shore responded with a Sac-Fly from Will Hickman to give them a 4-1 lead.

Hawaii, got the run right back however as in the bottom of the fifth Jackson Cadiz raced home from first on two throwing errors to make the score 4-2.

In the bottom of the sixth, Dillion Singleton was replaced on the mound Ryan Baldwin leaving his final line of five hits, two runs (one earned) with two strikeouts in five innings of work.

In the bottom of the 7th, Hawaii put up a fight loading the bases, but Baldwin was able to record the final out for the 4-2 win.

ASHORE will advance to face the Southeast champion, Tallahassee, FL, tonight around 7 p.m.
