Atlantic Shore improved to 1-1 in pool play at the Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown,NY after a 15-4 win over North Buffalo, NY on Sunday.

Mid-Atlantic got on the board in the top of the third when Ryan Baldwin and Will Hickman both singled which led to a RBI single by Colin Thompson. Hickman scored on a wild pitch to increase Mid-Atlantic’s lead to 2-0. Later in the inning Bernie Hargadon drove in Thompson with a triple to give Mid-Atlantic a 3-0 lead.

In the bottom of the 3rd, the Western New York champ was able to load the bases via two singles and a walk which allowed Joseph Ward to score making it a 3-1 game. James Gallivan then walked with the bases loaded and Camilo Ramirez Scored on a pass ball to tie the game at 3-3.

In the top of the fourth, Mid-Atlantic was able to get runners on and Will Hickman and Dillion Singleton both had RBI singles to drive in two runs to give Mid-Atlantic a 5-3 lead.

In the bottom of the fouth Colin Thompson replaced Dillion Singleton on the mound for Mid-Atlantic leaving Singleton's final line of two hits, three runs, and four strikeouts in 3.1 innings pitched.

WNY was able to get the bases loaded in the bottom of the 4th but Thompson induced an inning ending groundout to preserve the lead for Atlantic Shore.

In the top of the 5th Mid-Atlantic was able to get more runs on a balk as Damon Herzchel scored and an RBI double from TJ Santarpio making it 7-3.

Two more runs came across on a dropped flyball by WNY giving the Mid-Atlantic a 9-3 lead.

In the top of the sixth Thompson led off with a double and scored on a RBI groundout from Christian Madamba giving Mid-Atlantic a 10-4 lead. Colt Russo and Aidan Ralph both singled to increase Mid-Atlantic’s lead to 13-4 in the top of the 6th.

Tj Mcball later hit a 2-run double to make the score 15-4.

The Ron Tellefson Players of the game were Colin Thompson of Mid-Atlantic and Camilo Ramirez of WNY.

Atlantic Shore will play again tomorrow at 2 p.m.
