Austin Hays Leaves Game in LA with Hamstring Tightness
New Phillies left fielder Austin Hays had to leave Wednesday's game against the Dodgers with "left hamstring tightness."
Hays was running down the first base line and pulled up slowly down the line in the top of the third inning.
He was replaced by Johan Rojas, who went to center field, Brandon Marsh went from center over to left field.
The injury occurred with the Phillies trailing 4-1.
Entering tonight, Hays was hitting .270 with the Phillies with one home run and four RBI.
He was acquired before the MLB trade deadline in exchange for pitcher Seranthony Dominguez and outfielder Christian Pache.
Hays, a 2023 American League All-Star starter, was hitting. 255 with three home runs amd 14 RBI in 63 games for Baltimore at the time of the deal.
