In the catch of the year, Phillies CF Ben Revere did more than just catch a baseball.

Hours after the Boston Marathon bombings, Revere stripped a piece of tape on his glove reading the message: 'Pray for Boston.'

Revere robbed Reds Todd Frazier of extra bases in Cincinnati at Great American Ball Park on Monday night, followed by doubling up Jay Bruce who was on 1st.

The Phillies lost the game 4-2.

Phillies closer Johnathan Papelbon, who spent 7 seasons with the Red Sox told reporters prior to the game how much the Boston Marathon means to the city of Boston.

“It’s all ruined, Papelbon said. Families are ruined, lives are ruined and for what?

The NHL postponed the Bruins/Senators game from TD Garden, while the NBA canceled Tuesday night's Celtics/Pacers game.

Check out the video of Revere's catch below and his tweet to go with it. Former Phillies and current Red Sox OF Shane Victorino tweeted his support to Revere Monday night.

Revere's picture will be featured on the back page of the Philadelphia Daily News on Tuesday.
