This Hammonton BBQ Joint Just Won Best in New Jersey for 2025
While our state has several fantastic places to grab some barbeque, this Hammonton spot was recently named the ‘absolute best’ in New Jersey for 2025.
There are some great options in the area, but one Atlantic County spot stood out about the rest.
So, with that in mind, how do we know what the best BBQ in the Garden State is, and what criteria are being considered?
The popular website Cheapism set out to find the best BBQ spots in every state by digging into reviews and recommendations from customers and critics.
Given all of that, which BBD spot has recently been named the best in New Jersey for 2025, and where can it be found?
According to Cheapism and their recent report highlighting ‘Where to Find the Best Barbecue in Every State,’ their pick for New Jersey is Henri's Hotts Barbeque, 1003 Black Horse Pike in Hammonton. Cheapism had the following to say about their selection:
“Henri’s Hotts started as a food truck serving at festivals and events throughout New Jersey before its owner opened up a permanent location in 2009. This joint serves Texas-style barbecue along with Southern sides. Jerked smoked chicken and baby back ribs are standouts, but the main attraction comes on weekends with its buffet, which features a variety of smoked meats, black-eyed peas, whipped sweet potatoes, corn pudding, and peach cobbler. ”
Henri Hotts, which opened in 2009, is described as a low-key shack serving BBQ & American classics including steaks, sandwiches & burgers.
