In the past few days, reports began to surface that the Philadelphia Phillies were the clear favorites to land free agent Bo Bichette.

While Bichette will play at Citizens Bank Park this season, it will be as a member of the New York Mets. According to Matt Sammon of The Athletic, Bichette signed a three-year, $126 million deal with the Phillies rival on Friday, putting the Phillies offseason back to square one.
The Phillies also lost the ability to pivot to bring back Ranger Suarez, who landed in Boston with the Red Sox.
