Bradham: Run Game Able to Take Some Pressure Off Carson
The Eagles have won two straight games in big part thanks to the Running Game, with 39 Carries for 193 Yards versus the Giants and 42 Carries for 214 Yards versus Chargers. Part of the domino effect of the heavy emphasis on the run game is that Carson Wentz has zero turnovers in the last two games and only attempted 31 passes in each win. Also Wentz has only been Sacked total of four times in the last two games compared to being Sacked a total of eight times in the first two games.
Eagles Linebacker Nigel Bradham joined Rich Quinones on Monday and discussed the impact of the Running Game on the team's success the last two weeks:
“(Running Game) going keep our defense well rested and that’s a huge part of the game being able to control that clock and get that Run Game established. I mean it was working for us….They couldn’t stop it, they were pissed off and it was great to see cause I knew all week that we wanted to focus on getting that Run Game going to be able to take some pressure off Carson (Wentz) and that was tremendous play he had all day (Sunday); being able to moves, being smart with the ball, he just did tremendous things for us throughout the whole game (Sunday) just being the leader that he is.”
