South Jersey Football Shakeup: Buena Chiefs Searching For New Head Coach
After two seasons, the Buena Chiefs football program is looking for a new head football coach.
Kyle Klein Steps Down at Buena Regional
Kyle Klein has resigned as Head Football Coach at Buena Regional High School and is leaving the school, where he served as a health and physical education teacher.
"We want to sincerely thank Coach Klein for everything he has given to Buena Chiefs Football," the school's touchdown club posted on social media. His time, energy, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our student-athletes will not be forgotten. Over the last two years, he helped establish a foundation, culture, and momentum that our players fully embraced, and that impact will continue to be felt throughout this program."
A Look Back at Klein's South Jersey Coaching Journey
Klein has been a fixture in the South Jersey football community, serving as an assistant with multiple programs, including Cedar Creek and Oakcrest, and was briefly the head coach at Pleasantville, but resigned before ever coaching a game for the Greyhounds.
Rebuilding the Chiefs' Culture
He took over the Buena program in 2024, which had gone 0-8 the previous season, and has led them to a 7-12 record during his two seasons with the Chiefs.
The school announced that it will conduct a thorough search for the next leader of the football program, effective immediately.
