Carson Wentz Enters Camp Bigger and Motivated After Top 100 Snub
As the Eagles open their new look training camp at the NovaCare Center, their quarterback Carson Wentz has a new look himself.
The Eagles franchise signal-caller has a noticeably bigger frame entering the 2020 season. Wentz admitted he has gained muscle during the quarantine, and there's a reason for that.
"The last couple of offseasons I was dealing with injuries," Wentz admitted.
"This offseason I was really able to get after it, and got a little harder in the gym."
So while he was noticeably bigger entering camp, he was not noticed for his play on the field by his peers, as the NFL Top 100 of 2020 list did not include Wentz after being No. 98 in 2019 and No. 3 in 2018.
There were a total of 14 QB's ranked on the list, which didn't include Wentz.
"I’m not going to cause that to let me lose sleep or anything," Wentz stated. "I do look forward to going out this year and showing what I can do with my teammates.”
A couple of the names that did appear on the list were: Jimmy Garoppolo (No. 43), Dak Prescott (No. 43), Kirk Cousins (No. 58) and Ryan Tannehill (No. 68).
"You can always use everything and anything just as a little bit of extra motivation," Wentz admitted.
