Could the Eagles, DeSean Jackson be Headed Towards a Reunion?
Update: Eagles acquired WR DeSean Jackson from the Buccaneers for a 2019 sixth-round pick and a 2020 seventh-round pick.
Could the Eagles and DeSean Jackson be headed towards a reunion?
According to ESPN Buccaneers reporter Jenna Laine, along with Eagles reporter Tim McManus, Tampa has been shopping Jackson and Philadelphia would be a preferred destination for the Eagles former second-round pick.
The 11-year vet spent his first six year in Philly, and is set to earn $10 million in the final year of his contract this upcoming season, which would most likely be re-worked if he were to return to Philly.
He would fill a huge void in the Eagles offense, serving as a downfield threat that the 2018 Eagles sore missed. The 32-year old averaged a NFL leading 18.9 yards-per-catch last season.
Another team that has some interest in Jackson?
Another one of this former teams per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Washington Redskins. Per Garafolo, Washington would have interest in Jackson, if he hit the free agent market, which is not a guarantee.
But a return to Philadelphia is "definitely not out of the question" per Garafolo.
