Dave Weinberg’s Giants at Eagles 2-Minute Drill
Eagles' best number: 301 (Jalen Hurts passing yards)
Eagles' worst number: 2 (Eagles turnovers)
View from my living room:
I watched the game on a tiny TV in my sister-in-law's kitchen after celebrating Christmas with family throughout the day. Santa was very good to us, especially to our three grandsons Hampton (7), Graham (5) and Nixon (2).
Three stars
- Eagles running back DeAndre Swift (20 carries, 92 yards, TD)
- Giants cornerback Adoree Jackson (INT turned Pix Six)
- Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton (69-yard TD)
Eagles' best play
Eagles punt returner Britain Covey set up the team's first touchdown with an electric, 54-yard return in the first quarter. Covey reversed his field and broke several tackles during the return.
Eagles' worst play
The Giants cut the Eagles' lead to 20-18 in the third quarter when Jackson intercepted Hurts at the Giants' 24-yard line, then sprinted up the right sideline for a TD.
Turning point
The Eagles were clinging to a 30-25 lead in the fourth quarter after Giants backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor connected with Slayton for a 69-yard TD. The Eagles responded with a drive that ended with place-kicker Jake Elliott booting a 43-yard field goal with 1:10 left in regulation.
