On Friday's Injury Report, the Eagles Officially Ruled Out Two Wide Receivers and One Cornerback for their Week Five matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers:

Earlier on Friday, Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson told the media that Alshon Jeffery would not play in Week Five so that was not a surprise; what is concerning with Jeffery is that while he previous missed practice with "Illness" and now Friday's report has listed him with "Foot" also, leaving many to wondering if the 30 Year Old Wide Receiver had a setback in his recovery from his Foot Surgery back in December 2019.

With Desean Jackson both ruled Out for a second straight week, Eagles fans can expect to continue to see Greg Ward, John Hightower, and Travis Fulgham get the majority of the snaps at Wide Receiver.  Doug Pederson was asked about his young receivers getting more playing time on Friday:

These guys have really -- as coaches we have to be careful on the amount of information and the volume, right? We want to make sure it's small enough but yet enough plays in the game plan where they can go play and execute and they don't have to think a lot about a lot of moving parts, and keeping Travis in one spot and keeping Hightower in one spot. Obviously [WR Greg] Ward can move around and [WR] J.J. [Arcega-Whiteside] in the mix. These guys, they work really, really hard. Is it perfect in practice? No, and I don't want it to be perfect, right? As coaches we kind of want them to fail so we can instruct them and we can teach and improve that way, or they can go over to the other field and work with Carson on the side. These are all the things that we are seeing with these young receivers and it is paying off in practice and ultimately, we hope it pays off on game day.

The good news on the Eagles Injury Report on Friday is that it marks consecutive days that Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce were Full Participants at Eagles Practice.  Lane Johnson spoke to the media on Friday and explained what was the issue with his Ankle:

Also the return of Rodney McLeod to a Full Participant at Eagles Practice is positive news for an Eagles Defense that will be without Avonte Maddox versus the Steelers.  The expectation is for Jalen Mills to continue playing Cornerback with Philadelphia having to play without Maddox, Craig James, and Trevor Williams.  In the Eagles win over the 49ers, Mills played 100 Percent of the Defensive Snaps for the Eagles.
