
Eagles Announce 2025 Practice Squad, Add Kyle McCord and Antwaun Powell-Ryland
The Philadelphia Eagles cut two of their 2025 NFL Draft picks when they trimmed their roster down to 53 on Tuesday, but they didn’t lose either of them.

The Eagles announced Wednesday their initial practice squad, which includes quarterback Kyle McCord and edge rusher Antwaun Powell-Ryland, both of whom Philadelphia selected in April's draft.
Kyle McCord Lands on Practice Squad After Howell Trade
McCord, who began his college career at Ohio State and played his final season at Syracuse, became the odd man out when the team traded for Sam Howell on Sunday.
Powell-Ryland racked up 16 sacks last season at Virginia Tech and will get to develop more on the practice squad.
Other Notable Names Philadelphia Retained
Other notable players that Philadelphia able to push onto the practice squad are tight end E.J. Jenkins, cornerback Eli Ricks, who made the team as an undraftedrookie free agent in 2023, former first-round pick Kenyon Green, who they acquired in a trade for C.J. Gardner-Johnson and wide receiver Terrance Marshall.
