Eagles Set to Host Green Bay Packers in Wild Card Round
The Philadelphia Eagles have opened as a 3.5 point favorite in the Wild Card Round matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
"Really good football team, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said on Sunday after the Eagles win over the Giants. Coached really well. We’re not really worried about anything else other than them."
The two teams met in Brazil back in Week 1 and will now meet with the winner heading to the Divisional Round of the NFC playofs.
"Yeah, both teams are different from that day until now, no doubt, Sirianni stated. We’ll use that. You use everything. That's something that when we go play a team that we played the previous year, we'll use that, too. That's from year to year. So of course we'll use that. They'll use that. We understand that. It's a really good team. Really well coached."
Philadelphia won the opener 34-29 with 109 yards and two touchdowns from Saquon Barkley and 119 and a score from A.J. Brown.
One story to keep an eye on will be Green Bay QB Jordan Love, who left Sunday's loss to Chicago with an elbow injury. Wide receiver Christian Watson had to be carted to the locker room with an apparent non-contact knee injury.
Love was 17-34 for 260 yards, two touchdowns and an INT in the opener. Watson caught three passes for 30 yards and a score.
Philadelphia ended the season by defeating the New York Giants 20-13 to finish the season 14-3, and NFC East Champions.
A day and time for the game has not been announced at thia time. The game will be aired live on 97.3 ESPN with Merrill Reese and Mike Quick calling all the action.
