Could the Eagles have interest in free agent defensive end Jadeveon Clowney?  Yes, the same Clowney that had Eagles fans in a tizzy after he knocked Carson Wentz out of their Wild Card playoff loss to Seattle in Philadelphia back in January.

According to Mark Berman of Fox 26 KRIV in Houston, where Clowney has been working out this offseason, the Eagles are one of the teams showing interest in the free agent.

The Eagles do have enough salary cap room to fit Clowney into the roster, with with $23,547,404 in cap space still remaining for the upcoming 2020 season.

We all know that Howie Roseman is always looking for creative ways to improve the team, while working the cap, which he would need to do in this situation with the Eagles projected to be be $50.7 million over the cap in 2021 per Over the cap.

“I want to let people know I’m ready," Clowney said via Berman in a tweet, "Whoever I sign with is gonna get the best version of me”

Eagles fans shouldn't get too excited just yet.

Clowney is coming off sports hernia surgery, and understands that he might have to wait until the COVID-19 situation changes so he can get and pass a physical.

“I know what’s going on in the world..It’s a slow process until teams can see me&see what I got & can give me physicals..I’m just waiting on the right opportunity,” said Clowney via a Berman tweet.
