Eagles Sign Charles Harris To Fill Void After Brandon Graham’s Injury
The Philadelphia Eagles officially placed defensive end Brandon Graham on injured reserve after he suffered a torn triceps in Week 12’s win over the Rams and is out for the season.
The Eagles now must find someone to replace his production, with the 15-year veteran accumulating 20 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and six tackles for loss, adding a forced fumble.
One option is veteran edge rusher Charles Harris, who they claimed off waivers from the Carolina Panthers. Harris had three sacks with the Panthers this season and had a career-high 7.5 with Detroit in 2021.

The team also added another edge rusher, K.J. Henry, to the Practice Squad, and released defensive tackle Siaki Ika and wide receiver Marchus Rosemy-Jacksaint.
Henry has played with Cincinnati, Dallas, and Washington since entering the league as a fifth-round pick by the Commanders in the 2023 NFL Draft. He has 2.5 sacks in three seasons, appearing in 14 games.
Will any of these guys make an impact? We will see, but the team will have to find a way to replace not only the snaps Graham played but also his production.
One of the guys on the current roster who will get a look is rookie third-round pick Jalyx Hunt, who has two tackles and one sack this season in 10 games. Hunt, the Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2023, has plenty of talent and upside, but it might be too much to ask him to contribute at this stage of the season.
