Eagles start 2-0 thanks to Swift and Phillies travel to St. Louis

The Philadelphia Eagles improved their record to 2-0 by beating the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football despite a slow start to the game.  The lack of preseason preparation for the starters showed again as Quarterback Jalen Hurts struggled to get the high-powered Eagles offense in gear.  Hurts' First Quarter Turnover and offense slow start to the game led the Eagles' brain trust turned to newly acquired Running Back D’Andre Swift to run behind an outstanding offensive line to punish the Vikings.  Swift rushed for 175 yards and had a Touchdown while carrying the ball 28 times.  Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni heard the chants from the home crowd, “ Run the Ball” and he did.  We will recap the Eagles-Vikings game this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim!

The Phillies dropped three of four games earlier in the week to the Atlanta Braves who clinched the National League East on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park.  Despite the Phillies' flare for the dramatic comebacks, the Braves were just too much offense for the Phillies pitchers to handle.  With 16 games remaining on the regular season schedule, the Phillies head to St. Louis to play the Cardinals.  The Locker Room will break it all down this weekend!
