Another Cape Atlantic League graduate will be taking his talents to professional baseball.

Earlier today it was Brett Kennedy and Cody Stashak, then it was Millville pitcher Aaron Cox, now St. Augustine grad Ed Charlton, of Egg Harbor Twp., was drafted in the 23rd round by Cincinnati Reds today, he is currently playing at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

As a senior at the Prep, He batted .465, with 9 home runs and 39 runs batted in out of the leadoff spot in the order. He was also 5-0 on the mound with a 2.39 earned run average.

He's just another example of why I wrote this piece last week about South Jersey baseball.
