Extra Points: Eagles Schedule Adds up to Playoff Run

The announcement of the Eagles' regular-season schedule is one of my favorite moments of the NFL offseason.

Here is an unofficial, strictly-for-fun, game-by-game breakdown of the Eagles' schedule.

As always, I reserve the right to alter my predictions later in the year. As of right now, I think they'll be in the hunt for the NFC East title.

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 11 at Detroit Lions (1 p.m.) - Lions rookie edge rusher Aiden Hutchinson collects thee sacks in his debut. (LOSS).
Week 2: Monday, Sept. 19 vs. Minnesota Vikings (8:30 p.m.) - Jalen Hurts throws two TD passes to BFF and standout wide receiver A.J. Brown. (WIN)
Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 25 at Washington Commanders (1 p.m.) - Commanders have a new quarterback. Some guy named Carson Wentz. (LOSS)
Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 2 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1 p.m.) - New Jags coach Doug Pederson surprises Eagles with Duval version of Philly Special. (WIN)
Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 9 at Arizona Cardinals (4:25 p.m.) - Cards quarterback Kyler Murray throws two TD passes to tight end Zach Ertz. (LOSS)
Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 16 vs. Dallas Cowboys (8:20 p.m.) - Cowboys are a hot mess at the moment. (WIN)

Week 8: Sunday, Oct. 30 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (1 p.m.) - Haason Reddick earns two sacks against Steelers rookie QB Kenny Pickett. (WIN)
Week 9: Thursday, Nov. 3 at Houston Texans (8:15 p.m.) - Texans should be better, but not good enough to beat Eagles. (WIN)
Week 10: Monday, Nov. 14 vs. Washington Commanders (8:15 p.m.) - And you thought Ben Simmons got booed ... (WIN)
Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 20 at Indianapolis Colts (1 p.m.) - Salem native Jonathan Taylor runs for 150 yards and two TDs. (LOSS)
Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 27 vs. Green Bay Packers (8:20 p.m.) - Aaron Rodgers torches Eagles for three TDs (LOSS)
Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 4 vs. Tennessee Titans (1 p.m.) - Rookie defensive tackle Jordan Davis stymies Derrick Henry. (WIN)
Week 14: Sunday. Dec. 11 at New York Giants (1 p.m.) - Giants will be among most-improved teams this year. (LOSS)

Week 17 - Sunday, Jan. 1 vs. New Orleans Saints (1 p.m.) - New Saints safety Tyran Mathieu returns an interception for a touchdown. (LOSS)
Week 18 - Saturday, Jan. 7 or Sunday, Jan. 8 vs. New York Giants (time TBD) - Eagles win to clinch NFC East title and No. 4 seed for playoffs. (WIN)
