Flyers-Predators Preview: March to the End
Just seven games remain in the 2024-25 season for the Flyers, and the six that follow Monday night's game against the Nashville Predators are certainly going to be spaced out.
As the Flyers close out March, they will have six games in April, but only two in the first 11 days of the month, as the rest of the league continues action. That could certainly have an impact in the standings and the Flyers potential draft lottery odds.
Game time is 7 p.m.
Matvei Michkov extended his points streak to five games with another two-goal game on Saturday. The rookie is now up to 24 goals and 56 points on the season and has nine points during the five-game streak.
Filip Forsberg has been a driving force on the Predators offense. He leads the team with 67 points and has three goals and three assists in the last five games.
Ivan Fedotov gets the start for the Flyers. Fedotov makes his first appearance since March 23, when he allowed seven goals on 29 shots in a loss to Chicago. Fedotov's last win came on March 1 in a shootout against Winnipeg.
Juuse Saros is expected to get the start for the Predators. Saros allowed three goals on 21 shots in a loss to the Blues on Thursday in his last start. Saros had won seven of his previous 11 starts prior to Thursday's loss since returning from the 4 Nations break.
