Scott Laughton's been getting the itch. Enough with rookie camps. He wants to get into game action.

"All summer you're waiting to try and hit someone," the 2012 first-round pick said. "I'm a little bit sick of all the skill-work and stuff like that. You just want to go into battling, dump a puck into a guy's corner and try and hit him as hard as you can."

He'll get that opportunity, finally, against the Washington Capitals rookies Tuesday afternoon. The game will be played at 3 p.m. on the Phantoms rink at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The Flyers have giveaways for the first 300 fans in attendance. For those who can't make it, the game will be streamed live on CSNPhilly.com with no announcers.

Others are also looking forward to getting into game action. Last time goalie Anthony Stolarz played on May 21, a Memorial Cup game in which he allowed three goals on 17 shots. Since then, he's had hip surgery and had some time to ponder a suspension for hitting Islanders prospect Joshua Ho-Sang upside the head with his stick.
