Former Phillies 2B Jean Segura Signs with Baltimore

Former Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura has landed with a new team in the A.L. East - the Baltimore Orioles.

Segura was a key member for the Phillies during their World Series run in 2022 and spent four seasons in Philadelphia.

Over he hit .281 with 43 home runs and 176 RBI, and had a key hit in the Wild Card Game in St. Louis with the Phillies trailing 2-1 in the top of the 9th.

Segura signed a two-year, $17 million deal with the Marlins in 2023 but hit just .219 with three homers and 21 RBI and was released.

He joins an Orioles team that is filled with former Phillies, Seranthony Dominguez, Gregory Soto and Criag Kimbrel are all a part of the Baltimore bullpen.
