High School Hoops Tonight: Hammonton Boys Team in Studio to Preview SJ Playoffs

This week on High School Hoops Tonight we turned our attention to the South Jersey playoffs. State postseason action started Monday and several teams rank among the nation’s elite.

The Hammonton boys basketball team is among regional favorites. The Blue Devils are the top seed in Group III playoffs and host Kingsway in the second round Thursday night.

Host Tyler Donohue was joined in studio by several Hammonton seniors, including CAL leading scorer Christian Mortellite. He sat down with Tyler, along with teammates Isaiah Pugh, Devin Porteons and Matt Costa.

South Jersey Hall of Fame basketball reporter Tom Williams joined High School Hoops Tonight to share his thoughts on playoff brackets and break down Atlantic City’s success.

Holy Spirit senior Gina Lewis cemented her legacy as a Spartans hoopster Saturday at Stockton. She hit a game-winning shot with two seconds remaining in the CAL championship game versus Sacred Heart.

Lewis told Tyler about the thrilling experience and how Holy Spirit plans to approach its South Jersey title chase.
