Holy Spirit alum and Ventnor resident Greg Roman has been promoted.

The former Spartan, who served as senior offensive assistant and TEs coach, is moving up the ladder to offensive coordinator, replacing Marty Mornhinweg.

Roman has served as offensive coordinator in both Buffalo with the 49ers and has been in Baltimore the last two seasons. He specializes in the run game and has worked with quarterbacks like Colin Kaepernick, Tyrod Taylor and Lamar Jackson this season.

During his time as offensive coordinator in San Francisco, he went to three NFC Championship Games and one Super Bowl.

It appears that Roman got the promotion due in part because some teams around the NFL had in him around the league as a coordinator, particularly Miami.
