Many local travelers have traveled out to the Atlantic City International Airport to book their tickets in person for a Spirit Airlines flight.

When travelers come to the physical airport, they save money.  Many locals would drive to ACY and wait in line to book their flight as opposed to booking online or through the Spirit App.  I have done this many times, and there are real savings by booking in person as opposed to online, because these budget airlines charge a specific fee for the convenience of using their digital infrastructure.

Generally, going to the airport would give each passenger a savings of around $40.

As many are aware, Spirit Airlines is no longer in business, but ACY does have two new airlines that are calling the airport home: Breeze Air and Allegiant, which just merged with Sun Country.

Important Tips for Breeze Airways Travelers

Both Breeze and Allegiant Airlines have announced that their counters for in-person ticket sales are now open. With Breeze Airlines, travelers will need to set up a Breeze Rewards account in advance, and purchases are limited to one reservation per transaction. There doesn't seem to be any restrictions with Allegiant Air for in-person ticket sales.

How Much Can You Save by Booking in Person?

From what I understand, booking at the counter for Breeze, expect to save anywhere from $4 to $25, and for Allegiant, you can expect to save about $44 on a round trip.

The times to make these in-person purchases are very limited, with each airline having just one day per week for two hours per day.

In-Person Ticket Counter Hours at ACY

  • Breeze Airways: Tuesdays from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Allegiant Airlines: Wednesdays from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

While Spirit is no longer flying, these two new airlines are a nice addition to ACY, but many are hoping they add more flights.
