Another new carrier, Allegiant Air, which just started flights from ACY in 2025, will also be flying to some former Spirit destinations. These new options give South Jersey residents even more options with Spirit Air going out of business. Allegiant now serves three airports within a two-hour radius, giving travelers plenty of options for flying.

From ACY to St. Pete-Clearwater: A Faster Path to the Beach

Back in March, I took the ACY flight to St. Pete-Clearwater, and it was very convenient.  St. Pete-Clearwater is a smaller airport than Tampa, so I was in and out quickly.  Locals who like to travel to Clearwater Beach, this is a more convenient flight than going to Tampa, it is faster and easier to get to the Beach than it is from the Tampa airport.

With Spirit leaving, it appears these carriers are continuing to add destinations, at discounted rates, giving South Jersey travelers more inexpensive options.
