Hudson House Named New Jersey’s Best Dive Bar Again

It's not the first time, and it likely won't be the last time that this Southern Ocean County dive bar has been named the best dive bar in New Jersey.

A good dive bar is the kind of neighborhood spot that is unglamorous, serves great food, cheap drinks, has good music, and might little rough around the edges. It's the kind of place that locals and visitors like to check out, and usually stay busy even in the offseason down at the Jersey Shore.

Recently, a popular website. Chowhound named the Hudson House in Beach Haven as the best dive bar in the Garden State, and now another publication is giving the bar the same distinction.

Now it's Tasting Table that says "The Hud", located at 19 E 13th St in Beach Haven, and is one of the oldest buildings on Long Beach Island, is the best 'dive bar' in New Jersey.

If a dive bar only accepts cash and doesn't have a website, you know it's the real deal. This is the case with Hudson House in Beach Haven, where patrons flock mainly for its 1950s shuffleboard table, and the drinks, of course. People seem to love it for its authentic neighborhood feel, while Google reviewers also praise it for the fun atmosphere and casual games.

The place is famous for its juke box, shuffleboard, pool table, an extensive beer selection and is cash only.
