
Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing
6ABC Action News is reporting that a pedestrian was struck along the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township on Wednesday night.
CBC3 reports that the pedestrian died from their injuries.
The driver of the SUV involved did stop, according to authorities.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
The crash happened on the 6000 block of Black Horse Pike near Route 50 in Atlantic County just after 8 p.m., according to police.
The screenshot video shows that the police had closed the westbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike in front of Custard Castle, Mays Landing, for their investigation.
No other information has been released concerning this accident.

Wednesday night's fatal accident on the Black Horse Pike is the latest pedestrian death on the busy Atlantic County road.
Neighbors and locals describe the Black Horse Pike as dangerous for pedestrians due to high speeds and challenging navigation.
The road has been identified as one of the state's most dangerous roads for pedestrians, and remains treacherous for pedestrians despite attempts to improve its safety and its "safe corridor" designation.
So many pedestrian fatalities have happened that the Black Horse Pike has been examined in a report by the Tri-State Transportation Campaign.
A quick search shows the Black Horse Pike had the most pedestrian deaths of any road in Atlantic County between 2006-2008 and 2011- 2013, and was among the most dangerous roads in the county in other years over the past 20 years.
