Cape May, N.J. — A Cape May man is facing several charges, including aggravated assault, following a domestic violence investigation.

The Cape May Police Department said Aucelio Juarez-Ruiz was arrested after a victim reported being assaulted on multiple occasions during February and April of this year.

Following an investigation, Juarez-Ruiz was charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Assault by Strangulation
  • Aggravated Assault on a Domestic Violence Victim
  • Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury
  • Terroristic Threats – Threat to Kill
  • Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose

Juarez-Ruiz was taken into custody and transported to the Cape May County Correctional Center, where he is being held pending a detention hearing.
