New Jersey Democrat For Governor Trashes Charlie Kirk [Opinion]

Mikie Sherrill is Democrat Member of The United States House of Representatives.

Sherrill is also the Democrat Nominee for Governor of New Jersey.

Sherrill faced a House floor vote yesterday, a simple Resolution to support the late Charlie Kirk; in part which reads:

Condemns in the strongest possible terms the assassination of Charles "Charlie" James Kirk, and all forms of political violence;

Sherrill did the right thing and voted in favor of the Charlie Kirk Resolution, however, her comments associated with her vote are inappropriate and disgusting.

It should’ve been such an easy vote to cast. Associated with her vote should have been a decent, compassionate statement.

Sherrill joined radicals like Alexandra Ocssio-Cortez with harsh and despicable public rhetoric. See the reprehensible Mikie Sherrill public statement. This was a prepared statement and not just some slip of the tongue. She really meant to say this.

Charlie Kirk was advocating for a Christian nationalist government and to roll back the rights of women and Black people - this flies in the face of every value I hold dear and that I fight for...Charlie Kirk's murder was horrific, and it's up to all of us to stand against political violence. In these times, I will continue to condemn political violence, racism, attacks on women, and the hypocrisy coming from Trump and his acolytes, said Sherrill.

Mikie Sherrill Tried To have Her Cake & Eat It, Too — She Has Failed Miserably

58 Democrats voted against the Charlie Kirk Resolution, which is disgusting.

While Sherrill was not one of them … what she has done is even worse.

Sherrill wants credit for supporting the well deserved resolution … while trashing it and Kirk at the same time.

Sherrill Is Lying About & Smearing Charlie Kirk

What Sherrill has done here, really says a lot about her.

Even if what Sherrill said about Kirk was true — and, it’s not — it is indecent to say such things right after the assassination of a 31-year-old husband and Father of two young children.

My Conclusion:

Sherrill’s words would be harsh under any circumstances.

The fact that Sherrill said this at the time of a vote on a positive, supportive House resolution … during a time of national healing … and, before Charlie Kirk is even buried … it is disgusting & disgraceful

Sherrill’s public comments from The People’s House … are the types that the offender should consider turning in their membership card to the human race.
