The Philadelphia Phillies will have Alec Bohm back in their lineup for the final week of the season as the team reinstated infielder Alec Bohm from the 10-day injured list. Bohm has been out since Sept 8 due to inflammation in his left shoulder.

Bohm’s Season Stats Before Injury

Bohm was slashing .272/.319/.384 with nine homers and 51 RBI in 111 games.

Otto Kemp’s Role During Bohm’s Absence

In his place, the team has been using Otto Kemp at third base, who has slashed .240/.307/.411 with six home runs, 24 RBI, and two stolen bases in 56 games this season.

Update on Trea Turner’s Recovery

While the team gets Bohm back, shortstop Trea Turner is still out with a hamstring strain.  The team hopes to get him back during their homestand before the playoffs, which are likely to start on Saturday, October 4th.

With Turner out, Edmundo Sosa took over at shortstop, but went on the injured list with an injured groin.  Bryson Stott has been playing the position with both Turner and Sosa out.

Phillies Roster Move to Make Room

To make room on the 28-man roster, infielder Rafael Lantigua, who did not make an appearance in the series against the Dodgers, was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
