
Pleasantville, NJ, Man Pleads Guilty to 2 Violent Domestic Assaults

A South Jersey man is facing several years in prison for two violent domestic assaults.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's office says on Friday, 25-year-old Seth Carr of Pleasantville pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree aggravated assault for a recommended sentence of five years behind bars.
April Assault in Pleasantville
On April 17th of this year, officers with the Pleasantville Police Department were called to a home on Ridgewood Avenue in reference to a domestic assault.
Police spoke with the victim, who told them Carr strangled her until she began to lose consciousness. Carr also punched her repeatedly, causing him to break his own hand during the assault.
Another Attack a Month Later
Then, on May 16th, Pleasantville police returned to the same home for another domestic assault call.
Cops say they observed bruises on the victim's head and face. She also said Carr threw her down and repeatedly slammed her head into the floor.
Victim Suffered Serious Injuries
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where medical personnel discovered she was suffering from bleeding in her brain and a sternal fracture.
Carr was arrested at the scene.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 30th.
