
Spring Training Update: Phillies Unveil Talented Non-Roster Invitees
When the Philadelphia Phillies return to Clearwater for Spring Training, three of the organizations most talented prospects will join them.
The team announced 23 non-roster invitees on Tuesday which included shortstop Aidan Miller, right-hander Andrew Painter and outfielder Justin Crawford.

Miller hit slashed .266/.266/.446 and appeared in 102 games last year between single-A Clearwater, single-A Jersey Shore and double-A Reading, making 90 starts at shortstop.
While Painter isn't expected to pitch in Grapefruit League play, he is expected to have a role sometime this summer.
Crawford slashed an impressive 313/.360/.444 with 25 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, 61 RBI, 32 walks, 42 stolen bases and 79 runs scored in 110 total games between single-A Jersey Shore and double-A Reading.
A couple other interesting names that made the list included right-handed pitcher Griff McGarry, utility man Roldolfo Castro, and catcher Paul McIntosh, who cquired from the Miami Marlins with Jesús Luzardo.
McIntosh might have a chance to be the primary backup to J.T. Realmuto this season.
The team will make its way to Clearwater on Feb 12 when pitchers and catchers report, their first full squad workout will be on Feb 17 with their Grapefruit League opener on Feb 22.
