March Madness is in full swing!! Everyone has their brackets in tow and checking their standings by the hour.  Last year, I won my bracket and walked away with a nice chunk of change.  This year I hope to win it all again (as does everyone else).

This Saturday’s show we will hear from Mr. Big Five, Legendary Head Coach Fran Dunphy who recently retired after 33 years as a college basketball head coach in Philadelphia's Big Five.  Coach Dunphy will talk about his career, College basketball, and the NCAA Tournament.   College basketball this time of year is must-see TV and we will get our fill this weekend.

The Phillies are less than a week away from opening day for the 2025 MLB season. The health of key pitchers Ranger Suarez and Matt Strahm are the big news coming out of Spring Training. Reports are Suarez is dealing with back stiffness and Straham is having Shoulder issues.  Both could miss some time at the beginning of the season but even if they are good to go for Opening Day, what are realistic expectations for both left-handed pitchers?  We will take a closer look at the Phillies opening day roster.

The Flyers lost to the Washington Capitals Thursday night.  The real story coming out of the game was they allowed Alex Ovechkin to score his 888th career goal.  He is now Six goals away from tying Wayne Gretzky’s all-time record of 894 goals.

I personally do not want to see Ovechkin break the record but records are made to be broken and it looks like this one will be broken this year.  The Washington Capitals have 13 games left in the regular season and we will cover it all this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.

On Saturday’s show, Producer Nick Earnshaw and my basketball Guru, Mike Carlin, join me in the studio.  We will talk about college basketball and hear from a Philadelphia legend who just recently retired after a Hall of Fame Career, Head Coach Fran Dunphy.  In Hour Two, Mr. Negadelphia P.J. Corda checks in, brought to you by the Galloway Pool Service.  Mr. Negadelphia will give us his spin on Philly sports. Phillies baseball is six days away from opening day and we will take a look at the opening day lineup.

On Sunday’s show, my Locker Room Youth Movement is back in studio: Producer Danny Ryan and "The Intern” Andrew Leeds join me to recap the weekend in Philly sports.  The Phillies preparations for 2025 season, Eagles Offseason so far, and the NCAA basketball tournament are just some of the topics we will discuss.

In Hour Two we will get our “High School Athletes in the Spotlight” with Fran Mclaughlin brought to you by the Philly Pretzel Factory of EHT.

All that and more this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to Noon on 97.3 FM ESPN Radio South Jersey.
