Sheil Kapadia

Sheil Kapadia, Philly Mag, called in and gave us his outlook for the Eagles 53-man roster. Kapadia said Nick Foles is now the star of the preseason and can see him being Mike Vick's back-up at the start of the season. He also liked seeing the fire from Andy Reid in his confrontation with Cullen Jenkins on the sidelines during the game against the Patriots. Mike Vick did not practice today, but Andy Reid said he should be ready to go Week 1 vs. Cleveland. Read Sheil Kapadia on Birds-24/7

Don Marrandino

Don Marrandino, Eastern Division President of Caesars Entertainment called in and told us how the Philadelphia Sixers were brought to Atlantic City for a preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets. He said they had a handshake agreement on the game about a week before the Andrew Bynum trade. The team will be in town Friday night for a cocktail party and some events. Marrandino also said they have been working to get a Flyers/Rangers game at Boardwalk Hall but shied away from that due to a possible NHL Lockout.  Marrandino was born and raised in Atlantic City, worked in Las Vegas for many years, finally returned to Atlantic City in 2009. Boardwalk Classic tickets are now on sale.
