On Radio Row in Miami, former NFL Vice President of Officiating Mike Pereira told Adam Caplan on Friday that he was "shocked" the NFL let Seahawks pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney get away with an illegal hit on Carson Wentz by not penalizing and fining him.

Clowney's now-infamous late hit on the Eagles' starting quarterback forced Wentz out in the first quarter on an NFC wild-card game between the Eagles and Seahawks at the Linc, helping the Seahawks escape with the 17-9 win.

Pereira, a rules analyst for FOX Sports, added that he was stunned that the NFL didn't penalize or fine Clowney for the hit, and that Clowney got away with another questionable tackle.
