A popular Ventnor art studio and craft store, Makt Arts, closed its doors at the end of 2024, with the owner, Brenda Dowd, announcing she was moving out west.

Her studio store showcased local artists' work and was an art consignment store, allowing local artist to showcase their work in the store and get paid for their work.
