What is the most popular hot sauce in the Garden State?

South Jersey has some great hot sauces, like Hank's from Sea Isle, and while it might be the most popular hot sauce in these parts, it's not the most popular hot sauce in the state - yet.

The website Cheapism analyzed Instacart's 2025 report to identify the most popular hot sauce in each state by examining purchase data from the grocery delivery service. The results show that while traditional brands lead nationwide, some regional favorites still make a significant impact across the country.

Which hot sauce is most popular in New Jersey?

According to Cheapism and their report, ‘The Most Popular Hot Sauce in Every State,’ it’s no surprise that New Jersey's favorite hot sauce is also the nation’s most popular: Frank’s RedHot.

Here is what they had to say about America’s number-one hot sauce:

If Hot Sauce were a democracy, Frank’s would win in a landslide. Frank’s RedHot has been spicing up American kitchens since 1918 (including our own for a taste test), and based on Instacart’s latest data, it’s still more than relevant. This cayenne-packed classic is the big secret behind Buffalo wings, which — fun fact — were first made with Frank’s in 1964 at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York. It’s got just enough heat to keep things interesting without setting your mouth on fire, making it the preferred choice of heat in 29 states.

Frank's is the most popular in 29 states with Burman’s Hot Sauce, Cholula, Louisiana Brand, Texas Pete, 505 Southwestern, Tapatío, and Tabasco the other brands that ranked as most popular across the country.

What is your go-to hot sauce?

I'm a big fan of Hank's camouflage and some of their other great hot sauce flavors.  While I have had Frank RedHot, I definitely will be keeping git local with my guys from Hank's in Sea Isle.
