The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Philadelphia Eagles have a collection of 10 new players, plus a group of undrafted free agents that will be with the team at training camp.

So, what are the Eagles' rookie class expectations?  Let's take a closer look at some Eagles' 2025 draft picks analysis.

Eagles Prioritize Defense in 2025 NFL Draft

The Eagles addressed multiple needs during the 2025 NFL Draft, using six of their 10 picks on defensive players.

The draft started by taking five straight players on the defensive side of the ball, addressing the pass rush with Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell at No. 31 overall, and continued with intriguing picks like Texas safety Andrew Makuba, Nebraska defensive tackle Ty Robinson, UCF cornerback Mac McWilliams, and another Georgia player, adding linebacker Smael Mondon Jr.

Matt Miller Praises Philadelphia’s Draft Haul

We already noted that ESPN's draft guru, Mel Kiper, gave the Eagles one of only five A's for their draft class.  However, he wasn't the only one handing out praise, ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller shared thoughts on the Eagles’ draft class, saying not only did the Eagles have his favorite draft class in 2025, but he also thinks, looking back on this draft in five years, it will be the Eagles we are talking about.

"We'll look back on this draft as the spark that continued the Eagles' NFC dominance. The Eagles doubled down on defense, and given the team's track record of hitting on starters while also developing later-round picks, it's exciting to think about what guys such as linebacker Jihaad Campbell, safety Andrew Mukuba and defensive tackle Ty Robinson can become."

Myles Hinton: A Future Star on the Offensive Line?

Miller liked how the team added highly productive players at positions of need, and even listed sixth-round pick Myles Hinton as his developmental player to watch from this draft class.

I'm a fan of Hinton's potential and physical skills, and the former Stanford and Michigan offensive tackle will now attend "Stoutland U" under famed Eagles line coach Jeff Stoutland. He'll sit and learn behind Lane Johnson and could be Philadelphia's right tackle or right guard of the future.

Jihaad Campbell Named Best Value Pick by ESPN’s Jordan Reid

His colleague at ESPN.com, Jordan Rei,d also liked what the Eagles did, listing first-round pick Jihaad Campbell as the best value pick of Round 1.

Howie Roseman does it again. Campbell was my No. 11 prospect, and the Eagles were able to get him after trading up one spot and surrendering a fifth-round pick. He slipped after undergoing shoulder surgery in March. Because of that, another great prospect falls into Philadelphia's lap.

While we won't be able to access how this class fits until we see them on the field, it seems that many experts liked what the Eagles did in the 2025 NFL Draft.
