As the dust settles on the 2025 NFL Draft, experts are now weighing in on how Howie Roseman did and what he was able to accomplish over the three-day event.

Roseman made a plethora of trades, resulting in taking 10 players who will try to make the 2025 roster this summer.

How Did the Eagles Perform in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Kiper seemed to like what the Eagles were able to add, giving Philadelphia an A-, one of just five teams that received an A in this year's draft.

  • 31. Jihaad Campbell, LB
  • 64. Andrew Mukuba, S
  • 111. Ty Robinson, DL
  • 145. Mac McWilliams, CB
  • 161. Smael Mondon Jr, LB
  • 168. Drew Kendall, C
  • 181. Kyle McCord, QB
  • 191. Myles Hinton, OT
  • 207. Cameron Williams, OT
  • 209. Antwaun Powell-Ryland, EDGE

The Eagles started this off on Thursday night, moving up one spot to take Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell with pick No. 31. He could be an impact player right away as an off-ball linebacker or an edge rusher for Vic Fangio's defense.

Campbell can be a chess piece for defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, getting a handful of snaps on the edge per game. This pick tells me there's some concern about the knee injury Nakobe Dean suffered in January, so Campbell could help fill that void. He's a really solid player.

After Campbell, the Eagles stayed on the defensive side of the ball, replacing C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who was traded to Houston, with University of Texas safety Andrew Makuba in Round 2.

From Mel Kiper:

I love Mukuba's game. He's 5-foot-11 and 186 pounds, but he plays so much bigger and hits like a linebacker. Mukuba is a top-five safety on my board, and I could see him popping into the lineup in C.J. Gardner-Johnson's vacated spot.

Makuba could challenge for a starting role right away after posting 69 tackles, five interceptions, and seven pass breakups at Texas.

In Round 4, the Eagles landed athletic defensive tackle Ty Robinson from Nebraska, who could be a possible replacement for Milton Williams.

Ty Robinson will join Fangio's deep front-seven rotation and play multiple positions.

Robinson is a good fit next to Jalen Carter and could have an impact right away as a rotational interior defensive lineman who can rush the passer. He had 15 tackles for loss in 2024, the most at Nebraska since former Eagles DT Ndamukong Suh, who played for the Cornhuskers in 2009, adding seven sacks.

"I love this fit with the Philadelphia Eagles," said ESPN's NFL Draft expert Jordan Reid on SportsCenter.

The Eagles landed three players in Round 5, with two of them on the defensive side of the ball, adding Colorado cornerback Mac McWilliams and Georgia linebacker Smael Mondon Jr.

The third Round 5 pick was center Drew Kendall from Boston College, who is a center with NFL bloodlines.  His father, Pete, also an offensive lineman, was a first-round pick and played 13 NFL seasons.  He gives the Eagles a true backup center behind starter Cam Jurgens, something they really didn't have last season.

Kendall started a run of offensive talent in the late rounds of the draft, with the Eagles landing three players in Round 5.  First, they took Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord, followed by a pair of tackles, Myles Hinton of Michigan and Cameron Williams of Texas.

Kiper liked the selection of Williams in Round 6

On Day 3, offensive tackle Cameron Williams could be a steal -- if Philly can help him put all of his talent together. He started just one college season. I had him No. 125 on my Big Board.

Finally, in Round 6, the Eagles landed an edge rusher with plenty of potential, landing Antwaun Powell-Ryland from Virginia Tech, who notched 25.5 sacks over the last two seasons.
