To close out the 2020 MLB Draft, the Phillies added some power to the organization with their fifth-round selection, Georgia Tech outfielder Baron Radcliff. who stands 6 foot 4 and weighs 228 pounds.

Radcliff, played two full seasons for Georgia Tech before being selected by Philadelphia with the 146th overall pick. The left-handed hitter made his presence felt at the plate during his college career, hitting 19 career home runs, driving in 73 runs and compiling a career .236 batting average.

He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves back in 2017, with the 117th pick out of high school, but instead elected to attend Georgia Tech.  This season in just 16 games, he hit three home runs and drove in 17 runs, while hitting .259.

Phillies director of scouting Brian Barber noted that Radcliff turned down Division 1 scholarship offers to play quarterback to continue his baseball career and noted that he has some of the best bat speed and power of any player in the draft class.
