Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson is shaking up the lineup Tuesday for Game 3 of the NLCS against the New York Mets at Citi Field.

Among the moves is Austin Hays playing left field over Brandon Marsh and Edmundo Sosa replacing Bryson Stott at second base. Both Marsh and Stott have struggled against left-handed pitching.

Stott did have a big triple in Game 2, but the Phillies decided to go with Sosa, who is 4-8 (.500) against Mets lefty Sean Manaea. Stott is 3-7 (.429) against Manaea.

Hays is 2-3 lifetime against Manaea with a home run, while Marsh is 0-3 with a pair of strikeouts.

After a one-game absence, Alec Bohm is back in the lineup in the No. 5 spot in the order.

Why are the Phillies changing their lineup for Game 3 of the NLCS vs. Mets?

Rob Thomson is going back to Alec Bohm at third base after a one-game benching, where he started Edmundo Sosa. Thomson had said he went with Sosa for some more energy but ended up hitting Bohm for him later in the game.

The Phillies face a lefty starting pitcher so they are going with a more right-handed lineup with Hays and Sosa over Marsh and Stott.
